Empty your cocktail cabinet, it’s mocktail o’clock! After-all dry January doesn’t have to be all so dry, shake it up with our twists on cocktail classics!

All the mojo, but a Strawberry Nojito

Ingredients

  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 Strawberry
  • 1 tsp granulated sugar
  • Handful of mint leaves, plus extra sprig to serve
  • Summer berries sparkling water

Method

  • Step 1

    Muddle the lime juice, a whole strawberry, sugar and mint leaves in a small jug, crushing the mint as you go – you can use the end of a rolling pin for this. Pour into a tall glass and add a handful of ice.


  • Step 2

    Pour and top up with the summer berries sparkling water

    water, garnish with mint and serve.

Still a star, just this one’s a Soberstar Martini

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe passion fruits (they should have a crinkly appearance), halved
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 25ml Vanilla syrup
  • 50ml Passion fruit lemonade
  • 50ml Pineapple juice
  • Sparkling Elderflower Presse, to serve

Method

Step 1

Into the glass of a cocktail shaker, add the passion fruit lemonade, pineapple juice, lime juice and vanilla syrup. Add a handful of ice and shake well, strain into a martini glass, then pour Elderflower Presse into a shot glass, then add half a passion fruit to garnish.

You won't want to sleep on this one... Espresso Mocktini

Ingredients

  • 125ml 100% Black Americano Tin (or freshly brewed espresso coffee)
  • 25ml Caramel Syrup
  • 4 coffee beans (optional) or Popcorn

Method

  • Step 1

    Pour the caramel syrup into a cocktail shaker along with a handful of ice, and the coffee. Shake until the outside of the cocktail shaker feels icy cold.

  • Step 2

    Strain into a chilled glass. Garnish with either coffee beans or popcorn if you like.
