We are looking for an Assistant Manager with a keen eye for fashion and excellent communication skills, who leads by example and consistently represents the brand. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering an elevated customer experience, demonstrate strong sales and commercial awareness, and actively support the development and performance of a high-performing team while contributing positively to store results.
An Assistant Manager Skill Requirements
Actively promotes and looks for opportunities to grow the brand
Represents the brand and ensures the team follows brand values and standards. They encourage new ideas, support the team through change, and maintain high standards of service, presentation, and cleanliness while communicating company updates clearly.
Ensures an elevated service experience is delivered in storeĀ
Leads the team to deliver personalised, high-quality service across all customer interactions. They ensure customers feel valued, drive product services, use loyal customers to increase sales, and resolve customer issues effectively.
Meets targets and delivers expected results:
Understand store and personal targets, take ownership of their KPIs, and use available tools to achieve results. They should have a clear awareness of how the business operates, how it makes money, and how their individual performance directly impacts overall success. Meets deadlines by planning, prioritising and effective delegating. Completes effective commercial floor walk and identifies sales opportunities.
Provides a safe and operationally efficient store environment:
Ensures the store operates safely, efficiently, and in line with company policies. They complete health and safety checks, manage accurate stock processes, address operational issues, and maintain back-of-house areas to company standards.
Leads and develops their team to be their bestĀ
The Assistant Manager adapts their communication and leadership style to suit different situations and individuals, supports the implementation of the store strategy, and takes a proactive approach to recruitment. They know how to get the best out of the team by resolving performance issues using appropriate processes such as coaching, feedback, performance improvement plans, investigations, or disciplinaries. They use a coach-like approach to empower and develop colleagues, recognise achievements, provide praise and constructive feedback, ensure training and regular performance conversations take place, create a diverse and inclusive environment, support team wellbeing and safety, and actively encourage progression within the store.
